Otto Junker Award for Josefin Wilkes
IEHK graduate Josefin Wilkes receives the Otto Junker Award 2022 for her outstanding academic achievements. This award is presented annually to 4 RWTH graduates from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and the Division of Materials Science and Engineering in the Faculty of Georesources and Materials Engineering. Josefin Wilkes wrote her Master's thesis on "Investigation of factors influencing the Bauschinger effect in a dual-phase steel by means of a tensile-compression test" at the IEHK under the supervision of Professor Krupp and Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Wesselmecking. She has been employed as a materials engineer at Otto Fuchs KG in Meinerzhagen since October 2021.

Udo vom Berg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Otto Junker GmbH, and RWTH Rector Ulrich Rüdiger presented the awards at a ceremony. Professor em. Wolfgang Bleck, Chairman of the Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board, and the District Mayor of Aachen-Mitte Marianne Conradt congratulated the award winners.
