It was supported by Alexander von Humboldt foundation, aiming to deepen the scientific exchange between scientists of our institute and Prof. Wierzbicki´s group. Already in the past, there were several co-operations, e.g. when RWTH student Yannik Sparrer received supervision for his bachelor thesis in 2014, or when Dr. Junhe Lian was a scientific guest at MIT in 2015. In the future, the research activities shall be continued in the field of pipeline steels. For this purpose, Prof. Aida Nonn from OTH Regensburg agreed to contribute to our common efforts. At the end of his visit to Aachen, Prof. Wierzbicki gave a seminar talk about ductile damage modelling.
