Field trip during the course "Grundzüge der Betriebsorganisation"

From the 1^st to the 2^nd February the winter field trip to the Salzgitter AG took place. This regular field trip is part of the course “Grundzüge der Betriebsorganisation” given by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Fuhrmann.

The field trip started in Braunschweig, where the students had the chance to ask questions to employees of the Salzigtter AG during diner. The diner was followed by a guided tour through Braunschweig.

The next morning the electric steel plant and the steel joist rolling mill in Peine were visited. Most of the students have never been to a steel plant before, therefore they have been interested and impressed.

During lunch, some students took the opportunity to discuss with Prof. Fuhrmann, CEO of the Salzgitter AG, topics beside the contents of the lectures. After lunch, the trip to Salzgitter was finished by Prof. Fuhrmann with his lecture, where basic principles of business studies were discussed.

We are very thankful for the invitation of Prof. Fuhrmann and for the support of Astrid Mohr and are looking forward to the next trip.
