Berufung Prof. Prahl

Effective October 01, 2017, Dr. Ing. Prahl was appointed Professor for Forming Technology of the Institute of Metal Forming at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. He leads initially together with Prof. Dr. Rudolf Kawalla the Chair of Forming Technology at the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology. Dr. Prahl was appointed with at the same time as a university professor. In the future, he will focus on the application of material and process simulation, which is becoming increasingly important in view of the increasing digitization in industry (keyword Industry 4.0). The focus is particularly on industry-related issues, such as the production of light and robust thin-plate steels for the automotive industry or the shortening of process chains for forgings in the gearbox.
