On September 1, Prof. Ulrich Krupp took over the university professorship "Materials Technology of Metals" and the management of the Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy. Prof. Krupp has been Professor of Metallic Construction and Lightweight Construction Materials and Head of the Laboratory for Material Design and Material Reliability at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences for 12 years. In addition to the traditional fields of activity of the IEHK, it will strengthen the institute's activities in the field of nano-structured materials and set new accents in the field of high-temperature corrosion and cyclic materials testing.
